    Is there a way to update the firmware on this unit ? I have seen several different versions ranging from 3.30 to 10.20.
    And is there much of a difference ?

     Hey Scott
    I can't tell you if the firmware is updatable  for sure I would think so ,but I'm just letting you know I have version 10.20 and I got my ds-708 about two weeks ago, just some info.
